Cook Out Cheese Fries are regular fries topped with cheese sauce — not the chili-and-cheese pile and not Cajun seasoning. On dated Southeast boards (July 2026) they are often $2.89 à la carte. Chili Cheese Fries and Jalapeño Cheese Fries are separate lines with their own prices.
If you want heat without cheese, order Cajun Fries instead. If you want chili on top, ask for chili cheese fries on the sides board.
Calories we cannot cite
The public Cook Out nutrition PDF we transcribe lists Cook Out fries / regular fries / large fries — not a separate “cheese fries” row. We will not invent a calorie for the cheese topping. Confirm in-store. See the cited table.
On a tray
Cheese fries can sit in a tray side slot at many stores. They cost more than Cajun fries à la carte, so the tray is the usual way people order them. Pair with a lighter second side (hushpuppies or a wrap) if you already have a loaded burger. Plan the ticket in the Tray Builder.
What pairs well with Cheese Fries?
- → Bacon Ranch Wrap — ranch next to cheese fries.
- → Big Double — classic burger-and-cheese-fries ticket.
- → Cheerwine Float — sweet drink against salty fries.
