Usually yes. Most counters and drive-thru windows we hear about accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and tap cards — plus cash and chip/swipe cards.

Cook Out does not publish a national “contactless guaranteed” policy. In practice, newer terminals and college-town stores commonly show the contactless mark. Does Cook Out take Apple Pay?

Yes, at most locations. Hold your iPhone or Apple Watch to the contactless reader at the counter or drive-thru when the cashier asks for payment. If they say “insert,” the reader is not accepting tap for that ticket — use the physical card or cash.

Google Pay & Samsung Pay

Android wallets use the same pad as Apple Pay. We do not maintain a store-by-store map. If one wallet fails, try tap on the physical card, then chip insert, then cash. Splitting gift card + phone wallet is a cashier call — ask before the food is bagged.

Cards accepted (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover)

Swipe, insert, and tap all run on the same terminals. Personal checks are not accepted. Cook Out gift cards are sold in-store; balance checks happen at the register, not in a national app we can cite.

Cash, gift cards & drive-thru

Cash is the reliable fallback when contactless glitches at 1 a.m. Drive-thru tap works when the pad is on the speaker post or the pickup window — wait until they ask for payment before tapping. There is no Cook Out app wallet that replaces the terminal.
